Death Comes Easy, Victory Comes Hard
You play the role of the Chosen Undead, a cursed undead human who escapes the undead asylum in the kingdom of Lordran, who embarks on a perilous journey battling powerful foes, and must decide whether to rekindle the flame and prolong the age of fire or embrace the coming age of darkness. Presentation Dark Souls presents a dark atmospheric world, with intricate level design, and countless areas to explore. The game came out in 2011 on console, and in 2012 on PC, so the graphics are quite dated. I installed a graphics update known as DSFix, that improved the graphics dramatically. Definitely a must to enjoy the game fully. Gameplay The gameplay in Dark Souls is challenging, rewarding, and unforgiving. Simple as that. I chose a …

What you wrote doesn't sound like a 3.5/5 to me.

Thanks again! Just ordered a new deck instead of just the laser (might as well if the motor that moves the laser is part of the deck, no reason not to replace a 4 year old one for 10 bucks more). Thanks for all your help. I really like your site, I'll start posting my reviews and game lists up here when I get a free chance.

Thanks Nick! Was it the laser AND the deck (the thing with the rails on it), or just the laser? There's tons for my model on eBay, so I think I'm set. Just not sure if I need laser only or the whole get-up.
Thanks for the quick response!

Oh, and yes, the main problem seems to lie with dual layer blu ray games (single layer play), too, so my problem is most likely EXACTLY the same

Hey Nick, did you ever find the solution to your ps3 having no difficulty reading blu ray games and dvds, but having trouble with just blu ray movies? I've been searching everywhere (much like you), and with how you worded the problem so exactly familiarly, I figured you'd be the best person to ask. Please please please tell me you figured it out so I know if I have to get a new laser, or just do one of the entire ps3 formats that erases everything. Thanks so much for your response.

Harpoon turrets and gas traps have also been necessary in recent play for us. Apprentice towers could be substituted for harpoon turrets if you have a high level Apprentice as opposed to Squire.

Dungeon Defenders Review comment
I'm surprised at your lack of criticism for the fact that in Nightmare only one "strategy" works and the entire game just becomes one big stat-check with piles of overpowered ogres providing the only real challenge, defeating the entire purpose of a "strategy" game. Summoner/Series EV/Monk are the only viable defense-builders, rendering most of the original cast obsolete and useless. You started as an Apprentice, yet I haven't seen you use him since Hard difficulty!
It's unbelievable that you can praise Nightmare as "what the game is all about" when it is just one big broken mess which the devs have continually refused to fix. It's also insane to consider the amount of play time you got out of the game to be "good." You seriously had fun grinding for hundreds of hours in survival maps hoping for the random number generator to make a mistake and actually produce a useful piece of loot? Doing the same rote-memorization builds every time? That was really "fun" for you? Really?!
