A Most Glorious Return

“The Bard’s Tale 4: Barrows Deep” (“BT4”) is one of those sequels nobody ever expected to happen. While the original trilogy wrapped itself up during the Reagan/Bush era, it apparently didn’t have the staying power to be beaten like a dead horse, as more modern IPs are. Instead, ‘The Bard’s Tale’ went into a deep slumber, rarely spoken of amongst PC gaming grognards who spent the 1980’s playing terrible games and covering their walls with pages of notes and graph paper maps.
