Really fun game but not Mario Kart 64. I must say that I had the most fun playing the cup challenges with my wife for nights on end. She would run blocker for me while I won the races. We beat every cup that way and hours and hours for fun!

While I still think Mario Kart 64 is better, Double Dash is still a great kart racer with all your favorite characters, plus a few new faces, to race against friends. I never got as good at multiplayer with this one, but like all the Mario Kart series, playing against other people is where the most fun lies.

Not as fun as Mario Kart 64 but the double dash ads an additional level of fun to the game. The levels aren't as well designed and the challenges just don't reach the levels of the 64 version.

Yeah, I said it: Episode VII

I have a confession to make: I didn’t really play a lot of Mario Kart growing up. I mean, I’d played Super Mario Kart, I knew some of the shortcuts, I knew Toad was my character of choice, and I knew I hated Rainbow Road.

Mario Kart 64 featured probably even less prominently in my gaming heritage. I didn’t really play it enough to get the hang of power-sliding (though I think I’ve got it, now...) and I always thought the Battle Mode sounded like a lot of fun, but didn’t exactly have a crew of friends that played it every day after school like some other, luckier people I know. It’s hard to get addicted to Mario Kart by yourself, you know?

Mario Kart: Double Dash came out when I was in college. I lived in the honors dorm for 3 years. That’s 3 years, living with a b...
