Synopsis: In the Edo Period of Japan, an aspiring thief, Ebizo, along with his mentor, Ainosuke find their first job is nearly their last - when the team takes the lives of several civilians. Ebizo escapes with the only survivor, a young girl, Suzuna, he vows to raise in a traditional family. Ten years later, however, Ebizo is forced to return the criminal life he left behind as Suzuna falls ill and the medicine she requires is expensive. Ebizo vows to only steal from those who deserve it - and give those in need - but will also have to learn to navigate this dangerous path.
