Continuing the Trails story, Crossbell is situated between Empire and the Republic of Calvard and their ever-evolving territorial struggles. The city-state has prospered and become a leading economic power. After three years away Lloyd Bannings returns hoping to follow in his brother's footsteps in joining the Crossbell Police but is assigned to the Special Support Section - a minor branch that is treated without respect. But Lloyd will do whatever it takes, along with his companions, and it doesn't take long to find that Crossbell's gleaming exterior hides a shady underbelly of corruption and vice.
