The Shinra Corporation is harvesting the world's life force in the form of Mako Energy. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite Soldier unit, has turned mercenary and finds himself among a group of anti-Shinra activists who call themselves Avalanche. In the sprawling city of Midgard, the group plans an attack, unaware of the epic consequences that await. A greatly-expanded story awaits, featuring familiar characters with all new mechanics, skills and updated 4k graphics.
