Synopsis: The world below the floating Welkin Castle has fallen - covered in a deep miasma and holding countless beasts, Welkin serves as the last refuge of mankind. But currently the castle is led by a mad tyrant. Inside, Lucien, a popular politician, comes across an ancient tome that holds knowledge of Exemplars, weapons that can transform into sentient soldiers. Along with Rowena, a revenant that will do anything to return to the land of the living in order to raise her son, the two form a pact. Lucian will uncover the secrets of the castle and use alchemy to boost the troops - and his decisions could lead to who lives or dies as Rowena leads the Exemplars into real-time battles. Together they will overthrow the tyrant and maybe much more.
