Synopsis:

Being bad has never felt so good - before the events of Borderlands 2 - this Pre-Sequel follows Handsome Jack on his rise to power - new characters, Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Lawbringer, and Athena the Gladiator and a combat-ready Claptrap - will assist this rise. But the moon of Pandora is very different - the gravity will have you leaping in bounding in new ways and all-new laser and ice-based weapons gives a new twist on taking out the enemy. Plus new enemies, new vehicles and a completely new setting (but still a whole lot of loot) - it's the Pre-Sequel you've been waiting for.

Still Borderlands, but a bit Down-Underwhelming

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is not quite a full-fledged sequel, but a bit bigger than an average DLC add-on. Presentation: Not much has changed from Borderlands 2. The cell-shading style is retained - the color palette is still woefully limited (but grays and blues this time!). The music still forgettable but the script and vocal talent it still a highlight. The game does its best to differentiate the setting and it's a decent change of pace, but don't expect anything major to blow yo...

The DLC-quel

“Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel” (“TPS”) is a filler game released two years after “Borderlands 2” which takes place between the original “Borderlands” and its sequel, hence the cleverly tongue-in-cheek title. “TPS” is not, however, “Borderlands 3,” nor is it meant to be considered the third game in the series. Unfortunately for ‘Borderlands’ fans everywhere, that means that Gearbox has simultaneously produced the best ‘Borderlands’ title to date, while intentionally gimping it.

Presentation
“TPS” doesn’t really offer anything new presentation-wise over “Borderlands 2.” Indeed, “TPS” is built in the exact same engine as “Borderlands 2” and should really be thought of more as a stand-alone DLC for the second game in the series (much...
