Synopsis:
|
Delve back into the action RPG world of Torchlight - the heroes are summoned by guardian-warrior Syl on a quest that was started by the now-missing Alchemist. The players will have to track him down, exploring much more of the fast-paced, monster-ridden world. Featuring multiplayer for the first time, Torchlight II also features character customization, plenty of modding ability, replayability with new game+ and the return of pets and fishing.

I can't help but think of Torchlight II in comparison to Diablo III (which I had finished not too long before diving into the multiplayer aspect of this game). I disliked the first game and never bothered with the second, which is the one that drives fans into a quasi-religious fervor thanks to the revolutionary-in-2001 addition of online co-op multi-player. But thanks to the Indie pricing attached to “Torchlight 2” and a group of 4 friends seeking an online multi-player experience, I found myself with a second chance to experience the groundbreaking gameplay that defined the Hack ‘n Slash subgenre of RPGs.
