I just wanted clarify that I HAD, in fact, seen the commercial.

Wow, that was quite relentless.  The Dead Space 3 commercial was very similar by the way.  I didn't learn a dang thing.

... okay.

I was just saying the commercials aren't doing anything for me, but if you wanna get snarky about it, we can break this down:

Let's talk about what the live action commercial.

-Woman standing with a child.
-Soldiers marching.

Learned anything new about the game yet?  No?  Didn't think so.  I think the "soldiers" and "Kratos's wife and child" were elements of the previous games.

-Girl running through the soldiers.
-Girl running to Kratos.
-Kratos is happy to see her.

So they're a close-knit family.  Pretty sure that was in the very first God of War game, too.  Stop me when I get to the revelations about this game I'm supposed to be excited for.

-Girl turns to ash and sticks to Kratos's skin.
-Kratos is sad, then angry about the death of his family.

Yeah, that's more elements from previous games.

And then absolutely zero gameplay footage.  It's kinda cool, and that's fine if you like the music, but it's hard to get excited about a game unless I know something about it.  And to boot, the story it told was a story that any God of War fan already knows, so even THAT was old news.

So, based on the commercial, what part of the game are you most excited for?  The grass?  The marching soldiers?  I doubt that song is going to feature much in the game itself... there was a hill in the trailer, are you excited about hills?

"Plus they typically sneak a few peaks at new bosses and villains, how can that be in a previous game?"

This particular commercial didn't, so I'm not sure why this came up.

So, explain what this commercial does to get you excited about the game other than to tell you that it exists.
