I came into this game not expecting the same experience of the first Bioshock. While it's not the first game I was pleasantly surprised by the story. Once I got over the huge change of character from the first game, the story really started to sink it's teeth it. Some slight disappointments don't detract from the later parts of the game, which is where it really shines. While Bioshock 1's moral choices were straight forward evil versus good, Bioshock 2 feels more vague but in a good way. I was completely blindsided by some parts of the story partly because I had heard that this game was less than stellar. Slow to start and could have done without a few enemy gauntlets, this game none-the-less delivers. Although I still hate the hacking game. |
