One of the original and most popular PSX titles upgraded for the PS2 should've been a slam-dunk, but despite the graphics being higher resolution they actually look worse thanks to inferior design. The physics are not as raw or convincing, the music is bland, the tracks less interesting and the weapons not as well thought out. As a whole it feels more like one of Wipeout's many copycats than the real thing and although it compares favourably to most of the clones, it's still comfortably the weakest Wipeout game of the entire series. |
