All your Nintendo favourites are beautifully presented in this rather simplistic multiplayer beat 'em up. There's not really enough to it for the single player but a group of friends could have some fun with it.

I agree, this franchise started off a bit slow. I highly prefer the two sequels to this scaled-down version, but Super Smash Bros. was something a little different and I'm glad they continued to develop and improve it.

A good start to the series. A little slow and clunky but still a lot of fun. I bet the publisher never would have guessed the success it would have long term.
