Open world 3D platformer that's pretty to look at and pleasant to play but feels rather flimsy compared to the best Nintendo has to offer. More Crash Bandicoot than Super Mario Galaxy.

Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank came out about the same time. While there was nothing inherently wrong with this game, Ratchet and Clank clearly is the winner in my eyes. Maybe its the characters or story, but Jak and Daxter feels dated and generic in comparison.
