I've never been that big a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series - I found the controls clumsy, the one-false-move-and-you're-dead trial and error formula exasperating and seemed to spend more time watching the games than actually playing them. This is still true of certain sections of MGS V but the more open world approach eliminates the worst of it, creating a sort of stealth version of Red Dead that makes for easily the best instalment in the franchise. |
