Super Mario Bros. is fun, fast paced, and the start of something special for Nintendo. You have to give the game that set the standard for the 2D action platform genre some props.
I love the creativity of the environment. Mushrooms to make you bigger, hurling fireballs, stomping unusual bad guys. Warping, breaking blocks, hard jumps, hammer bros., dumping Bowser into lava, it's all great. Trying to save a princess is a noble cause. It's too bad that gosh darn Toad kept getting in the way.
I use to be able to beat the game in under six minutes. I still think I can do it in under ten. A fantastic, historical game that all video game nuts need to play at some point. |
