A Great Way to Tell a RPG Story    5/5 stars

Dragon Warrior IV stands out from the rest of NES RPG's in one very important way. The story was unique and brought me in more than the others. You get to play with the characters in their own journey before they get together with the Hero for the final leg of the journey. It really helps you connect with the characters and the world around you. After completing each chapter, you feel a sense of accomplishment and progression in the game.

This game still has all the classic Dragon Warrior/Quest elements. Slimes, a sailing ship, spells, and casinos. I could never find all the mini-medals, I don't even know how many there were.

I lost my save file half way through the first time I played the game. Fortunately, it was so good I just started over and did it again. The game is that good.
