And that's it. I really don't expect the WiiU launch library to be any good. Nintendo always screws up launches. We also still don't know how much the thing will cost.

The Wii U is still up in the air for me - I will have to see what it looks like at launch. I indeed hope Nintendo learns a few lessons - I'm still intrigued, but I'm not going to jump until I see for sure how they're going to handle it.
Good call on Diablo III - if it indeed does come out this year. Probably one of the few games I would play on PC vs. console. |

Chris! You're going to miss Halo 4!!!

Despite the fact that I'll play all of them on PC, I've gotta list Borderlands 2, Mass Effect 3, Diablo III, Torchlight 2, and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (assuming it makes it to shore in 2012).
I'm extremely curious to see what launches with the Wii U, which should come out this year. I'm going to assume they learned SOME sort of lesson with the launch line-up for the 3DS and have at least one game that I'm anticipating right now and just don't know it yet.
BattleBlock Theater, because I'm a Behemoth fan. But this may be another one that drifts out of 2012.
Lastly, Kid Icarus and Xenoblade. |

I realize it's early, but I figured I'd get the jump on New Year's with this topic. There aren't a lot of dates set in stone yet, but here on my top picks for next year:
Nintendo - As Nelson already said, the early lineup looks like a letdown but at least I can look forward to Xenoblade Chronicles getting a proper U.S. release.
PS3 - My bread n butter of course. Mass Effect 3, the return of Twisted Metal and Lollipop Chainsaw are all on my list. I'll also probably get Final Fantasy XIII-2, despite the fact I wasn't thrilled with the original. There is also a new Resident Evil and Silent Hill game, along with the Silent Hill HD Collection. And Borderlands 2 - loved the original, won't miss the sequel.
2012/13 - Depending on when these get released I'm going to get Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us and BioShock Infinite as well.
If anyone else anticipating some releases next year? Any Xbox 360 fans going to tell me what I'm going to miss or anyone else want to throw out some other games I may be interested in? Inquiring minds want to know. |
