An amazing first person shooter that was part horror, part quake, part Goldeneye and truly awesome. Forget the multiplayer aspect as the story was really where it was at. Finding guns, using the crow bar and talking to scientists was awesome. The creepiness kept coming and brought you to the edge of my seat. This game is virtually perfect.

"Half-Life"

First person adventure with that oozes atmosphere and requires thought and guile as well as an itchy trigger finger. The great storyline gives it a real "what happens next?" addictive quality and it contains a variety of well thought out puzzles, devious traps and environments that reward exploration. One of the first truly cinematic first person shooters and the best of its type on the PS2.

Second, the series of “Full-Life Consequences” parody fan-fiction/Gary's Mod Youtube videos made me want to learn more about the real story of Gordon Freeman (who was John Freeman's brother).

Presentation
The presentation of "Half-Life" is its weak point. While I have read that the PC version looks significantly better, I have not played the PC version to compare. The PS2 version of "Half-Life" suffers from incredibly low-resolution textures on everything. The environments, people...
