Inevitably a little simplistic and crude compared to the later incarnations and some of the missions are frustratingly difficult thanks to the combination of dodgy AI and vehicles that are far too fragile, but it was a game changer at the time and was the genesis of the modern sandbox game.

The sandbox games that started it all and still one great trip to take. Though it seems quaint compared to future entries in the series, it doesn't diminish the fact this game was a breath of fresh air and just damn fun to play. Like all classics, it deserves respect.

The most influential game of the current game trend, Action Sandbox. It is a great game, full of so much detail, full of so much freedom. It was so fun to go off the track of what you were supposed to do. Yet it was some how more fun to do what you were supposed to do. It was challenging but still a blast. One of the best ever.
