I was never huge into light gun games, but since this came with the system, I guess I felt obligated to play it. Pretty simple, ducks (or clay pigeons) fly, you shoot them down. A damn dog laughs if you don't. I think my dad liked this game more than I did - but, hey, at least it got him to actually play a video game. |

This game is above average even though you can't beat it. You could cheat, which wasn't fun, but if you were truly good at this game, it became a lot of fun. At one point, I became truly good at this game. I also have this version, which is the one that came in the mail. |

Ducks Beware, This NES Game is Out to Get YOU! |
|
This is one of those rare games where you kill real life animals. Of course, it's NES, so the ducks didn't LOOK real, but you are killing ducks. You even have a hunting dog with you, who also laughs at you if you miss. In the more advanced stages the game gets challenging, and it's fun to see what kind of scores you can obtain against a friend.
It's a fun light gun game, yet simple...and slightly more gruesome than most NES games. Those poor poor ducks. |
