Hey, everyone. So, I'm originally a member of filmcrave. I'm not nearly as big offan of video games, but I still love them and think this site is not only a great sister site for Filmcrave, but probably the best, most fun and most original videogames site I've ever been to.
I'm sure you guys have noticed that there are only a handful of really active users on this site, so much so that after I convinced my friend and my brother to join, I think we single-handedly made Mortal Kombat 2011 get into the top 10, but also made Super Mario 64 the number 1 game, lol. I think that's great, but I really think more people should go on here.
So, to make an extremely long story short, what are some good ways to help publicize this site? Because I will help, and I think if there are more ads for this on Filmcrave, that'll probably make a big difference, I just accidentally noticed it on the site once and that made me join. |

Mario 64 and GoldenEye 64 in the top slots are crimes against humanity.
Alex is the real promotions expert around here. If he doesn't respond to this post, bug him by posting on his profile page.
We appreciate any and all spreading of the word about this site, and we're glad that you are enjoying it.
We desperately need more members who aren't N64 fanboys. |

Yup - right now it's all word of mouth (and word of Net) so tell your friends - in person or via Facebook/Twitter and any other social media that if they have a passion for video games, this is the place to be.
I keep wondering why the N64 is so popular myself. Maybe it's a generational thing as I vastly prefer the SNES. Still - I value all opinions and hope to have as many as we can get. |

The best way to promote the site is to post links to your public feed on Facebook, become a fan on facebook, tweet links to meltedjoystick and filmcrave, write a blog post about meltedjoystick with links back to the site, proclaim your love for the site on other forums, youtube, and any other site you interact with friends on. Also if you have an xbox or PS profile, you can put a link on those pages/sites that links back to MeltedJoystick.
Writing reviews for our site will help a ton as well as rating all of the games you have ever rated acurately...but still it all goes back to posting links of your content onto your facebook feed :)
Thanks for the note and let me know what ideas you have? |
