One of my top RPGs of all time, if only for the delightfully quirky nature - from the story to the characters to the enemies and even the music. It starts out tough, but gets easier as you go along - don't give up on it, or you'll miss one of the most original, and fun games, that has been released.

Fans of RPGs should not miss it

One of the best RPGs ever made. Earthbound is basically a parody of other RPGs. It's based in a stereotypical American setting (the first four towns are Onette, Twoson, Threed, Fourside..). Instead of swords and shields, you use baseball bats and yo-yos. Instead of fighting dragons you fight...big piles of puke? It sounds ridiculous, and it is. However, I found its own unique brand of comedy quite charming (after awhile). The gameplay is top notch, the story very long, and there are quite a few secrets to explore and master. A word of warning though, the graphics are pretty terrible for a SNES game.
